birds longevity

i'd like to know how old birds can live to.
do you know of any sies/info about birds longevity.

Mate that is a bit of a hard one as there are many variables.
I know of a Sulphur crested cockatoo that was in our family that lived just on 50yrs, a Galah my Grandmother had that lived 40 odd and I had a Budgie that went for 16yrs.
In the wild it is of course a very different scenario.
What I do know for a fact is that generally the bigger they are the longer they live.

My grandmother had a Sulphur Crested Cockatoo, one of the most vulgar and foul mouthed birds ever heard (picked the language up from Grandpa in the workshop over many years). This bird passed away aged around 30 years, hardly had any feathers left, grandma used to knit him pullovers. They raised him from a chick found on the ground covered in ants after falling from a tree.
