I posted the first shot below back in January (but can't locate the thread to revive it), of a possible Grey Goshawk nesting site - Tassie only has the white morph of these beautiful birds and they are currently listed as endangered here - I had seen these two in the same area a number of times. I can't recall what was discussed in the original thread, but also showed the shot to some more experienced friends around that time too and the general opinion was that it was probably not a nest, as the clump of stick matter was far too large.
But, have been stubbornly & hopefully keeping an eye on the nest since though, as it can be spied a distance away on a walking trail I use frequently. Two days ago spied a wonderful sight! I'll return in another month to see if there is feeding type activity, but will steer clear until then. Really thrilled for the birds that my hunch was right for a change .

Angelic birds.
looks like quality habitat.
Acacia melanoxylon becomes much more substantial there than here (vic dry woodlands)...
Well done, Annie
I do remember your post but can't find it.
Your first pic you did post in Bird of the week 24th march though.

Hi Annie, if you click on your user name, and then go to my content you might be able to find it, but you have so many posts (not complaining) it might still be difficult to find, and you have probably already tried that. Also love the habitat, as always love your work.

Thanks for the feedback and comments guys. Very VERY exciting, wishing I had a monster lens , but just happy to see from a distance and have my fingers and toes and everything else crossed for them for a successful breeding season. So sad to see some that have ended up as rescues & rehabs over the last 12 months or more due to some brain dead moron shooting them - so lucky to have people and places like the Central Nth Wildlife Care & Rescue up North here and Raptor & Wildlife Refuge down South at Kettering, amazing people doing amazing work there.
Thanks Dale , I did try finding the old thread that way or similar, but now I've thought about it more, I think I may have accidentally deleted it myself when I changed to flickr as I got rid of a heap of old posts that photos had dropped off of - was only meant to delete the ones in Best Photos, but.... ah well.
