I like this site... not just for my education but for others' as well. I love to help people with identifications and I just can't wait until summer when everyone is out birding and all the "help... wader ID?" posts come in (they're my favourite)... just for anyones interest.
I'm so looking forward to that I love waders, but I find them sooooo difficult to ID. I wish there was a way of grouping them into categories, I'm sure there is a way, but I haven't got it yet? Something like: all the ones with beaks like..... belong to the....?
Or something to that effect, so I could say, yea, long legs curled beak, that is a ....
But that would probabely too much to ask for? I will have to try harder then, won't I?

Help... Wader ID?
I've still got some pending from earlier this year!
I was thinking about making a dichotomous key at one point... Sort of start with all the waders then somehow refine them.
Problem was, I couldn't work out where to start and what to group them into. So, it went into that too hard basket.
Get it out of that basket again. Anything to make it easier to ID waders would be great. Even I might understand??

You want me to have a nervous breakdown?! The whole idea was that I might be able to create something to save myself from my own inability to ID waders. Someone else must be better qualified.
We're all waiting for your pictures.
