Is this a Yellow-rumped Thornbill? I took this photo on my farm in Central West NSW in December 2006. I've seen Buff-rumped Thornbills and this doesn't seem to be quite the same shape but I don't know what else it could be. There are heaps of them around. They make alot of noise and always hang around in groups of about 4-10 birds. They spend alot of time feeding on the ground.

Yellow Rumped thornbill indeed, I was lucky enough to see some in Victoria, they hae the brightest most beautiful yellow I have ever seen, some nice photos there :D
