New Holland Honeyeater!!

Saw one of my favourite birds for the first time in my own suburb! I saw some on my trip to SA, and knew that they should be in my area but had never seen them, until today (without my camera D:) I saw one sitting on a bare tree branch only about 5 metres away from me! Also saw some white-plumed honeyeaters on the way to school for the 2nd time a few days ago. Being observant really is helpful, at first I thought it was just a house sparrow but on closer inspection it was a NHE. Just a tip fo you guys be alert, I have been looking in the local are for about a year or so and haven't seen any before, it always pays to be on the watch :)

Thats so good to hear Amateur. I know how you feel we love the New Holland. Especially love listening to them sing. We are very lucky and get visited everyday from sometimes just the one or if we are real lucky sometimes up to 10. I could sit and watch them for hours. We also get the plumes in as well. Quite funny to watch them flit around the backyard chasing each other.
