I noticed today a huge female Satin Bowerbird just moping about the garden, doesn't appear to be sick as she ate some fruit scraps I threw out and drank from the bird watering bowl.
However, she is huge and very lethargic, maybe she is about to nest and lay her eggs, although I don't think winter is their breeding season? Couldn't believe how big she is, very obese and just hanging about my lower garden on her own.
Cannot get close enough for a good picture, but she is big, very big, nearly like a small chook! Any readers have an explanation?
