Birdlife Bird Data app - anyone using it successfully? Try as I might, I just cannot get it to accept my location and no idea why. So I can't submit sightings. Find this quite frustrating as I don't know how to resolve it and can't find anything online that might give me a clue. Hoping someone here might be able to help me, thanks.

I use it.  Once you select "Record Survey", Click "location", click on your location on map and name it, then hit next...

That's what I was missing. I hadn't realised you needed to press on your location on the map. Doh!  Thank you.

No worries.

There is a Birdata facebook page where you can ask questions too.

I once Recorded a Survey on Birdata, it was correct even after I pressed 'Submit' after I Reviewed it. However, after that, the location automatically changed to some Shared Survey Point. This Shared Survey Point was one I had been meaning to Record a Survey at, and I had selected it without entering any Survey details. I pressed 'Change Survey Point' and I changed it to the new place that I was doing a survey.

After I had submitted the survey and was happy with it, I looked back on it on the 'Surveys Completed' tab of the app and I saw it had changed to that Shared Survey Point.

I am quite puzzled by this, but I have emailed Birdata to ask them to correct the survey to the right place.

It is still a very good app though, and it gives birdwatching a meaning, helping scientific studies and all that.
