I was walking my mutts this morning and found the local BS nest on a pond. Looks like they're still incubating and I remember last July they were at the same stage as now. Despite the Richmond pair having four cygnets nearly at four weeks of age. How cool! I may be able to photograph some nesting behavior soon. I love Black Swans. So pretty! :-)
It has been very strange with so many birds having many broods in the last year or so so maybe it is because the increased rainfall makes their food abundant so they can breed whenever they want.
