Hi Newbie on the scene, dont know much about birds but noticed a pair of beauties tonight. After a little research discovered they were 'Gang Gang's '. Thought it might interest someone as it seems they dont frequent this area.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see gang gangs in Gembrook, but I don't know if they would be regular there. They do move around a bit; they seem to appear seasonally at my place in Gippsland.

Thanks replying I posted in great excitement and haste, if the Gang Gang's visit again I will take a photo. Also this last week after coming home late and putting the horses away by head light I noticed something on one of the fence posts. I thought it may have been my very well intentioned neighbour who likes to collect things for my 5 year old and leave them on the fence line. On closer inspection it was a Tawny Frog Mouth, I understand they may be common but it was still nice and suprising. Just getting to know the 'locals' only been here since May. Gembrook is east of Melbourne and is famous for the end of the line for Puffing Billy. Cheers
