SO many small birds

Just had to share the joy of walking in a patch of forest locally ( half sclerophyll and remnant rainforest type area where I usually go in the weekends near my home) I have no good shots to show for it but the pure joy of sitting quietly while these gorgeous creatures flitted in and out of my space was just amazing...... Eastern Yellow Robin, rufous fantail, grey fantail, Eastern Whipbird pair (seemingly unaware that they should be hiding and camouflaging in the nearest dark patch of bush!!!), Yellow throated scrub wrens. variegated Fairy wrens, spectacled monarch, Golden Whistler,Little Shrike thrush, Spangled Drongo, rainbow Lorikeets, and I think there was a Rufous WHistler calling nearby too. Not bad for an hour in the bush!!!
My photos were woeful, but I did do some videos (via Mobile phone only)to catch all the calls so when I get round to it I will post them if they are OK.
It was a delight to say the very least and worth the wet feet from walking in a track that is currently a stream bed!!

Well I have to say I thought there would be maybe one person who "shares the love" with me!! Are you all in hibernation or something?

sorry birdie, got carried away with other topics.
this is an amazing array of small birds to see on just one walk.
its hard to beat the rainforest. when i went to the qld rainforest i saw lots of small birds too, like rufous fantails and black faced monarch and srubwrens.
isnt it just great when you can just go out and relaz and enjoy the birds.

Cheers, Owen.

i didnt manage ood photos either. the camera i had was a bit suggish in the gloomy rainforest so the photos came out blurred. it was still great to see all the bird though. i especially love the rufous fantail and the brown cuckoo dove

Cheers, Owen.

Thanks Owen.... at least I know one other person on here shares the joy LOL
Sometimes you just have to tell someone....know what I mean

BTW.... with photos you have to do the img and /img in square brackets around your pasted web address. Wollemi got you a bit confused I think. She was talking about copy pasting the stuff written above the box where you post a response or new topic.

Keep trying you will get there
