Saw a King Quail for the first time two weeks ago. With it was a completely white version of the same quail, same size, waddling after the normal one. Is this common?

Great picture, never seen these at all - we keep looking for quail but they do have a habit of disappearing into the undergrowth! Thanks for sharing this one.

Yes they are quite common,king quail come a wide range of colours ,the one in the photo is a silver
I would have said this is an escapee...
They come in different colours, but I thought they were like Budgies - only one real / natural colour in the wild...?
