nankeen night herons at 2.30pm

nankeen night(?) herons feeding at 2.30pm on the causeway below the ross river dam.

The flood controll gates on the dam were open, flushing the pools under the dam wall, I expect all sorts of goodies were being washed down. This causeway is normally dry.
