Some of the areas proposed for mining and tree killing are formerly exploited and degraded areas which are now recovering.  I note that Tasmanian government authorities have glossed over their horrendous development intentions by saying that any development will preserve the important natural values of the wilderness area. What a con! In other words these Earth wreckers don't want any degraded areas to recover.

My only comment on Jacqui Lambie's comments is that they're not worth commenting on.

Not saying its right or wrong, but when the Federal gov subsidises Tasmania $2 for every $1 it makes, as a Premier or a Prime Minister paying the bill hard.  A deligate from a green group gets paid in donations, or off investments possibly.  If this was reduced then the running of their house hold becomes all the harder.  I don't agree with logging old growth, but I find it interesting when green groups suggest little alternative to all their objections.

I have walkied the South Coast Track, a beautiful multi day walk through remote Tasmania.  An 80km trail 1 to 5 ft wide through the wilderness.  If huts were added instead of where one now camps, and fees are charged to do this walk, and poo would be choppered out, it cant be all that bad. But no, rejected.
