Your favourite photo???

I just had a look at some of my older photos, thinking if I had to pick one or two that I like the most, which ones would that be? My choice follows.

If I would ask you the same question, can you make a choice and show them to me? Can't wait to see them.

Gorgeous Peter, where did you find it? Love the reflection in the eyeheart

Shirley, nice interpretation of the Magpie, but I think the Crow is concentrating on something he/she can eat.

In October '11 I was on my way back from a study tour in USA and on the tarmac at midnight in the Qantas plane at LAX when the fleet was grounded.

We were accommodated for 2 days in a good motel in Irvine, CA. The motel was a walk from the San Joaquin Wildlife Sanctuary and I was about the only traveller who was not complaining as I spent the 1st day in the Sanctuary, the next morning at Newport Beach and the afternoon in the motel & surrounding buildings grounds. I got this pic in the grounds and thought that I was so lucky to get a still Hummingbird.

I was actually disappointed when we got advice that night to get out to the airport as Qantas was flying again.

Hi Everyone

What a hard decision to make.  I have been going through my computer today and deleting so many images, you cannot keep them all.  Anyhow first would be the one of the 2 Sulpher crested cockatoos. because of all the birds they are my favorite bird, they are so raucous and clown like.   Second my wren family juveniles.  I had the whole family lined up at one stage it was like they knew they were having a photo shoot, but I love this one with he/she foot on the other ones shoulder, like "let me into this photo".  Lastly thought I should put the bird of controversy,  the Red Wattle bird, because they are so wonderful ito view in full flight.

Peter, I thought that was a hummingbird at first glance...but I'm so used to seeing AU birds mostly here - so I was quite happy to see that little beauty from home!  Hummingbirds are just amazing.  I spent a couple weeks with my family in Kansas last summer and the hummers are everywhere, zipping around like little motors.

Great photos everyone - although I'm surprised you didn't chose one of your wrens M-L

I still think your photo of the wren is fantastic.

As for me, I'm not surprised I didn't chose one of my wrens. To me the latest photos are always the ones that get me the most excited. Like the Wood Ducks I saw yesterday. I will take my camera for a walk in a minute, that will turn the Ducks into yesterday's old news.blush

Here is yesterday's young female Wood Ducksurprise
