help with id again please

I am trying to work out which bird i saw today, it was small, the size of a Superb Fairy Wren, and i didn't make out a lot of the features before it flew away, but it had definite yellow colouring underneath torward the tail end, and I think spots, somewhere and general brown colouring. Not much to go on i know!

Thank you

I am thinking a yellow-rumped thornbill, except that it was definitley very small, while the description on BBY, says it is the largest of the thornbills, or possibly a buff-rumped thornbill?  Although that seems less likely.

Female Golden Whistlers have a yellow spot around the vent, but they are a tad larger and grey...

Pardolote, striated or spotted? Very small bird and fits your description?

I would think you're very likely spot-on with yellow-rumped thornbill. Biggest thornbill is still a little bird :)

Thank you all, yes, I do think it may  have been a yellow-rumped thornbill.  Those pardolotes are very pretty birds, and I think they may be around in the same area, whihc is inner western Sydney i forgot to mention.

Thanks
