After getting my 299th photographed bird species at Mount Glorious i took a trip down to Walkabout Creek to see if i could get a Red-backed Fairywren.
Not 5 minutes there i got them, YAY, number 300.

Way to go Shorty!!
What a great bird to get to 300 on. Congrats.
Must've been a magical moment. A special 300th bird - am very jealous! Love to see one one day. Lucky we've got fantastic photographer's willing to share their travels.
Thanks, Rick. I sure was glad to get decent shots. I have too many ticks with bad shots

Great work rawShorty! Well done on the 300th.
That photo of the two together is beautiful.
Thanks, WD. I did get a lot of shots of them preening each other but the sky was blown out

Quality set of photographs of a really magnificent little bird. I remember getting my first red-backed Fairywren at Oxley common like it was yesterday.
I've just counted up my list and I'm not even 1/2 way to 300 yet. 127 actually but on the bright side I suppose there are more firsts to come yet. My only criteria is I must have taken and saved a photograpgh that allows the bird to be recognised from the photograph.
Interesting page here showing some people as having over 800!!
